Dimension E310 video card help?
I have a plain old Dell Dimension E310 and it has no upgrades. All I want to do is play Sims3 and every time I try to play, I get terrible game quality for about 15 minutes and then it freezes up and gets to a very low resolution. I get the alert “display Driver Stopped Responding” then it reads “The ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality, The next time you reboot the machine a dialog will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to Microsoft.” After this pops off, I unplug my PC and turn it back on and resume to my business of Facebook. This happens only when I try to play Sims 3. What should I do? and is there a permanent solution that won’t be costly? Will I have to get another computer? If so, what type?(pref is a laptop)
Laptops are notoriously bad for playing games, unless the laptop is made to play games, then you are out of luck.
